Ultimate Package
In Law, a package holiday is defined as 'the pre-arranged
combination of at least two of the following components when sold or offered for sale at an inclusive price and when the service covers a period of more than 24 hours or includes overnight accommodation: (a) transport; (b) accommodation; and (c) other tourist services not ancillary to transport or accommodation'. With all of the costs of these various elements rolled into one, it is easy to see the attraction of keeping it simple, and paying one fee to one company in order to have all your holiday needs taken care of.

Things change however and, with better Internet access and constraints on disposable income, the traditional package tour market is now spending much more time booking its annual holidays and is moving steadily towards more tailor-made vacations where individual needs & wants can be accommodated. The concept of ‘one size fits all’ is prevalent in many aspects of our world today – areas such as learning, health, waste, migration and third world aid and, in almost all of these, it is failing the very people who depend upon it most. More & more, people are celebrating their individuality and greater flexibility is the order of the day. Every year in Roda sees a greater number of visitors who have made all of their own arrangements, who are ‘thinking outside of the box’ and enjoying the satisfaction that comes from being in control.

Through the ‘Roda Online’ links page you can now buy travel insurance, arrange airport parking and book a flight. You can even buy new luggage, suncare products, sunglasses, cameras, batteries, international
sim-cards and even pick up a box of chocolates for the flight. From ‘Roda Pages’, you can find suitable accommodation, book a personal taxi to collect you from the airport, reserve a table at your favourite restaurant and even choose where to have your first drink when you arrive. By joining the ‘forum’, you can find out what others think about the facilities in the village and share your experiences with the greater Roda community. If your thirst for information knows no bounds, there is always this magazine generating an ever-growing wealth of information about Roda and the unique island of Corfu to help you get the most from your stay in a way that suits you.

Through ‘Roda Reports’ and ‘Roda Online’, this friendly village
has reached out to all corners of the world to help tomorrow’s visitors make whatever choices they need in terms of arranging a value-for-money holiday that suits their individual needs. Ask yourselves should you have to fit the holiday on offer, or should the holiday fit you? Many longstanding visitors have said that the village has something for everyone and our aim is to make their experiences available to all so that more people get to sample the ultimate in Greek village holidays – in Roda.
